
This sparkling beverage was a newcomer to the malt beverage category and needed to attract shopper attention on-shelf. As one of the first sparkling agave tequila beverages, it also needed its visual branding to reflect its high level of purity and to match its top tier price point.
We created a brand targeted to sophisticated sparkling beverage consumers, designed to reframe tequila in their minds and take market share from their category favorites. We developed the name Azulana to tap into the product’s Mexican heritage, while our logo and packaging combined influences of Mayan culture with Prohibition-era Art Deco to create a truly premium look.
